Roses Charity Cabaret Concert

Ben was delighted to host and organise the Cast and Crew Christmas Cabaret at the Roses Theatre during the manic panto run of King Arthur. The evening consisted of songs, dance routines, comedy, magic and even ventriloquism!

The show featured performances by the 6-strong cast, the musical director, the director and some of the crew were also on hand to sing, all in aid of raising funds for the Roses and their charitable work. The Roses are currently working with Caring for Communities and People, Young Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire Young Carers to launch a social group for isolated adults and a new scheme called Young Creatives, that will use theatre and technical skills to improve mental health and wellbeing for 8 - 21 yr olds, with a focus on those from deprived areas. The evening raised several thousand pounds, plus bucket collections during the run.

Ben opened the show with Wilkommen from Cabaret, and performed Send in the Clowns as a tribute to Stephen Sondheim, Things with Victoria Lucie and Me and My Shadow with Mathew Grimes. The recordings can be viewed below:
